This Privacy Policy explains what information the AboAmir mobile app ("the App") collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. By using the App, you agree to the terms described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: phone number, password (stored securely as a one-way hash - we never store or can see your actual password), and optionally your name.
• Delivery information: saved delivery addresses, including GPS coordinates, used to calculate delivery fees and route your order.
• Order information: products ordered, quantities, prices, payment method selected, and order status/history. You can optionally choose not to include your phone number on a specific order, and you can cancel an order before it is delivered, optionally providing a reason for the cancellation.
• Favorites: products you mark as favorites, stored on your device.
• Camera: used only for the in-app barcode scanner - no photos or video are stored or transmitted.
• Push notification token: a device identifier used to deliver order-status notifications to your device.
• Customer support chat: messages you send us through the in-app chat, used to respond to your questions and requests.
• Delivery driver chat: while an order is being prepared for delivery, you can exchange messages with the assigned delivery driver through a temporary, order-specific chat (see Section 3 for how this works).

2. How We Use Information

• To create and secure your account, including phone number verification via a one-time SMS code.
• To process and fulfill your orders, including calculating delivery fees and notifying the merchant of new orders.
• To show your order history and let you manage saved addresses and favorites.
• To send you order-status notifications (e.g. "your order is being prepared").
• To let you coordinate directly with your delivery driver while your order is on its way.
• To maintain the security of the App (e.g. detecting suspicious login activity).

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. Your information is shared only with the following, solely to operate the App:

• Twilio - to deliver the one-time SMS verification code to your phone number.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging - to deliver order-status and chat push notifications to your device.
• The merchant (AboAmir), so your order can be prepared and delivered, and to contact you via WhatsApp if you choose to reach out.
• Delivery drivers - once an order is being prepared, the assigned delivery driver is given a temporary, order-specific access code (via a QR code) that lets them send and receive messages with you about that one delivery, without creating an account or being shown your other order history, saved addresses, or general support chat with the store. This access is automatically and permanently disabled once the order is delivered or cancelled.

We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers operated by us. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access to customer data is limited to what is necessary to operate the App and fulfill orders.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and order data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations. You have the right to request deletion of your personal data (account, saved addresses, order history, support chat, and delivery driver chat messages) at any time, in either of these ways:

• In the App: open Profile → Delete My Account. This immediately anonymizes your personal data (phone number, name, password, saved addresses) and deletes your delivery driver chat messages and the sender name on your support chat messages. Your past order history is kept in anonymized form for our accounting records, with no personal information attached to it.
• By email - including if you no longer have the App installed: [email protected] (tap to open a pre-filled email). Requests are processed within a reasonable time.

6. Your Rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct or update your information within the App
• Request deletion of your data (see Section 5 above)
• Withdraw consent for non-essential communications

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
